CURLA organized a Talk on“Urbanization in China: Outcomes, Challenges and New Changes in Urban and Rural Contexts” at the Centre for Urban-Rural Linkages in Africa (CURLA) on Thursday 24/10/2024. Prof. Yunqing Xu, Director, Urban and Environmental Studies, University Research Centre, Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University in the Peoples’ Republic of China delivered the Talk. The overall objective of the Talk was to provide opportunity for people-to-people to exchange information and lean the factors driving urbanization as feature in sustainable development on China and Africa. Dr Munyua Mwaura, Chair, Department of Urban and Regional Planning (DURP) gave the opening remarks.
